As a 90’s baby, I have been recognizing some serious (and unfortunate in my opinion) style repeats that bring me back to the days of Nickelodeon slime and overalls. I despise the 90’s for the fashion that took place in that decade. Who can honestly say that baggy pants and acid wash jeans make ANYBODY besides A.C Slater?
Here are a few of the 90’s “iconic”items I’m referring to:
DeNim, JeaNS, anD, DEnIm
It seems that patched denim, light wash, dark wash, jean shirts, jean jackets, and every other form of denim is back
The Art of the Dog Collar: AKA the choker
The “Jump off a cliff &kill yourself” Jumpsuit
I don’t much care for the first acid wash overall look. I think it makes the model appear larger than her actual size. The Victoria isn’t bad, its modern, clean and if paired with a great heel I would approve
Grunge was a music style made famous by bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden in the ’90s. Grunge (in my definition) is the worst band T-shirts paired with torn or ripped flannels and chipped nail polish. I have seen some very high fashion grunge looks. It’s difficult to get that high fashion appearance because of the grit and “dirtiness” grunge requires. Careful not to cross the line into the homeless!
