This past weekend I spent a few days at my families home down in Long Beach Island. It was a fabulous couple of days for me. The only negative to the weekend was my not being allowed to bring my puppy Jax. My grandparents are NOT dog people. The long weekend was packed with reading new books, days spent with our feet in the sand, and tons of picture perfect moments due to the gorgeous surroundings. My biggest complaint about L.B.I was always the lack of great clothing stores. I love anything Ralph Lauren and Vineyard Vines-esque, and nothing has been really tickling my fancy in LBI. I started following this grand LBI mens shop on Instagram that had recently gotten a major renovation and I promised myself that I would check it out when I was down next. On Saturday I was just so tired of sitting on the beach and reading so I pushed myself to hop in the Jeep and head to Sink R Swim.
My first impression of the shop when I walked in was shock and extreme joy. I not only found a shop on LBI that had great clothes, I discovered possibly the greatest mens shop I had ever met. When I'm shopping I want to be in an appealing environment. I like the shop’s decor to surround me in a way that makes me feel as if I am living a lifestyle in the clothes I am about to purchase. I just felt cool when I was walking through Sink R Swim. Stuffed buck heads on the walls with ties hanging off the antlers, pool tables used to hold stacks of sea-sweaters and trays of Smathers + Branson wallets, drink cozies, and the most colorful Southern Tide shirts you could find. The owner is an adorable girl named Sam(aka my new best friend). She is the buyer for the store and her taste is identical to mine. She understands what her customers want to buy. I know I probably sound crazy here but after years of being forced to shop in dreadful malls and other shopping centers its so nice to find a mens shop that carries such a large variety of styles that all appeal to me. If you are ever in Long Beach island make sure to stop by and check this place out
